KPop Demon Hunters is getting close to one of the longest-running records on the Top Soundtracks chart.
The soundtrack has now spent 61 weeks at No. 1, Billboard noted in its latest look at the chart’s longest-leading albums. That puts it just one week behind Moana, which holds the record with 62 weeks in the top spot.
The milestone places KPop Demon Hunters among a small group of soundtracks that have dominated the ranking for extended periods. Since the Top Soundtracks chart began in 2001, only 12 albums have spent at least 25 weeks at No. 1.
Animated films have had an especially strong presence near the top of the all-time list. Titles including Moana, Frozen, Frozen II and Encanto have all logged lengthy runs at No. 1.
Other major soundtrack successes include The Greatest Showman, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Barbie: The Album and A Charlie Brown Christmas.
With 61 weeks in first place, KPop Demon Hunters now sits within reach of matching the chart’s existing record.
