U2 brought a surprise video shoot to Mexico City this week, with the band seen performing from the top of a decorated school bus in the city’s historic center. An official band update identified the project as Street of Dreams, pointing to new visual material tied to the song.

The filming took place near Plaza de Santo Domingo and the Palacio de Medicina, with selected fans invited ahead of time through official channels. Photos and clips from the area showed Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. surrounded by a crowd as the bus moved through the streets.

The vehicle featured graffiti-style artwork by Mexican artist Chavis Mármol and carried the phrase la calle de los sueños, Spanish for the street of dreams.

The shoot adds to U2’s long history of using public city spaces for major visual moments. For fans, it was also a rare close-up look at the band working on new material in the middle of one of Mexico City’s most recognizable areas.
