Olivia Rodrigo helped celebrate Sheryl Crow’s songwriting legacy with a performance of Strong Enough during the 2026 BMI Troubadour Award ceremony in Nashville.

At the September 14 event, Rodrigo took the stage near the end of the evening as Crow was honored for her career and influence as a songwriter. Before performing the 1993 song, Rodrigo spoke about Crow’s kindness, generosity, and character, qualities she said have made a lasting impression on her.

The tribute also featured several artists performing selections from Crow’s catalog. Jason Isbell performed Run Baby Run, Melissa Etheridge sang If It Makes You Happy, Eric Church took on Leaving Las Vegas, Lauren Daigle performed Everyday Is a Winding Road, and Chris Stapleton delivered I Shall Believe.

Rodrigo and Crow have shared the stage several times in recent years, including appearances at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, Crow’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, and a stop on Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour.
