Yeah Yeah Yeahs are taking their new short film Hidden In Pieces to select cinemas in September 2026, pairing the 22-minute project with classic films chosen by the band and director Barnaby Clay. The screenings are part of a special theatrical run built around the group’s music and cinematic influences.
The band announced that selected showings will include films such as The Night of the Hunter, Wings of Desire, Mulholland Drive and Eraserhead. Each pairing gives audiences a chance to see Hidden In Pieces alongside movies that helped shape the project’s visual mood.
Filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, Hidden In Pieces features reworked versions of Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs in a black-and-white concert setting. The film also reflects the influence of David Lynch, whose work has long connected music with surreal, atmospheric imagery.
The short film arrives alongside Hidden In Pieces Live At The Royal Albert Hall, a live album recorded during the band’s 25th-anniversary period. An expanded edition and physical releases are scheduled for October 23, 2026.
