Niall Horan is keeping his solo shows distinct when his former One Direction bandmates are on the road at the same time. In a recent interview, he said he avoids checking their setlists because using the same songs would feel unnecessary when each artist is building a separate live show.

He explained that there is plenty of One Direction music he could perform, but he prefers not to step into the same space if Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson or Zayn Malik are already playing certain tracks. Horan said he would rather choose the songs he personally enjoys most and shape his own set around that.

The comment offers a small look at how the group’s former members continue to manage their solo careers while staying connected to the band’s legacy. One Direction’s catalog remains a major part of pop music, and any decision about those songs still carries weight for fans.

For Horan, the approach seems simple. Keep the set personal, respect the overlap, and let each show stand on its own.
