Rare personal items from Taylor Swift will soon be displayed at an exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. The free, temporary exhibition is called, Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail, and it will feature 13 different installations – Taylor’s favorite number – that document Swift’s celebrated musical career. The exhibits will include archival pieces from Swift’s career, like clothing, awards, and musical instruments. Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail will run from July 27 until September 8. The exhibition coincides with Swift’s return to London’s Wembley Stadium for five additional sold-out shows from August 15-August 20, after her three historic shows there in June.
Kate Bailey, the V&A’s senior curator, said: “We are delighted to be able to display a range of iconic looks worn by Taylor Swift at the V&A this summer – each celebrating a chapter in the artist’s musical journey. Taylor Swift’s songs – like objects – tell stories, often drawing from art, history and literature. We hope this theatrical trail across the museum will inspire curious visitors to discover more about the performer, her creativity and V&A objects.” (NME)
