Blackpink’s Jennie surprised fans by appearing in the first promo video for The Weeknd‘s upcoming series called The Idol.
She told a Korean newspaper, “I found the script very intriguing, so I wanted to be part of the series. I feel very excited. I’ll work hard, so please watch me with affection.”
The Idol, which stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, is about a self-help guru and cult leader who begins a relationship with an up-and-coming pop star. An air date has not been announced yet, but Jennie is set to appear in 6 episodes.
In the meantime, Blackpink is working on new music and planning a world tour.
